3. Local Processing and Uploads

For image recognition features, Fast Image Text Scanner processes selected images on-device by default. Recognition results, history items, and related preferences are typically stored locally on your device for later viewing or editing.

We do not upload the images you process, the recognized text, or your local history to our own servers unless a feature explicitly says it requires an upload and you intentionally trigger that action.

If you use the system share sheet to send results to another app, email service, or cloud provider, that onward processing is governed by the privacy policy of the service you choose.

4. Permissions

• Camera permission: used when you choose to capture an image for processing.
• Photos or media library permission: used when you choose to import an image from your device.

We do not continuously access your camera or photo library without your action. You can disable these permissions at any time in system settings, although doing so may limit related features.

5. Third-Party Services

Fast Image Text Scanner does not display in-app advertising in the current version. We may still rely on platform providers for app distribution, downloads, updates, and essential operating system services.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

If you keep recognition history, batch queues, preferences, or imported image copies in the app, that data is typically stored locally on your device until you delete the content, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.

If you contact us through email or another support channel, we may retain the related correspondence for a reasonable period to handle follow-up issues, comply with legal obligations, and support necessary security or audit needs.

7. Data Sharing

We do not voluntarily disclose the images or recognized text you process in the app except in the following situations:

• You ask us to do so through a sharing, export, or similar action.
• Third-party providers process limited technical data as necessary to support distribution, diagnostics, or other essential services.
• Disclosure is required by law, regulation, or legal process.
• Disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, us, or others from harm, abuse, fraud, or security threats.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect information, including data minimization, local-first storage where practical, permission controls, and review of third-party services. However, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
